QIGONG

RETREATS

Joining of Awareness and Energy

“Modern science understands human beings from the outside, as a subject, but Qigong understands people from the inside. In Chinese we have a saying: ‘zhi nei er da wai’, which means ‘if you really understand the inside you will also understand the outside (the universe and all its information)’. This is because our mind contains all the information of the universe. Through Qigong we can improve ourselves to be healthier, kinder and more free. .”

Master Jianshe Liu, Primary Qigong teacher at the Zhineng Qigong Center on Hainan Island, China

WHAT IS QIGONG?

Qigong combines conscious awareness with gentle movement. Zhineng Qigong (literally: Qigong for wisdom and ability) is a complete, integrated system to liberate human energy in all dimensions, ultimately opening one’s heart to deeper physical, emotional and spiritual healing.

Qi means “subtle breath” or “vital energy”.

Gong means “skill cultivated through steady practice”

Zhineng Qigong was developed by Dr. Ming Pang, a Qigong Grandmaster trained in both western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine. He synthesized his profound medical knowledge of the old and new healing sciences with the ancient Qigong practice.

JACK AND KATRIN'S EXPERIENCE IN QIGONG

Jack and Katrin spent 4 months in China to study the techniques of Zhineng “Wisdom” Qigong. They found this ancient Chinese healing art to be a profound contemplative practice with extraordinary healing effects for physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Qigong is an integral part of the daily schedule at Casa Primera Luz.

RETREATS

If a group of at least four participants is interested we are happy to schedule a workshop to teach beginner’s level Qigong. The movements are gentle and don’t require a high level of fitness or perfect health. Qigong is ideal for anyone wanting to engage in a mindful exercise regiment that nurtures the body as much as the heart.

COSTS for a three-day beginner’s level retreat:

$150 to cover actual costs for food/cook, preparation, and accommodations.

In addition we ask for a contribution to the facilitators (sliding scale from $100 - $250)

To request a three day Qigong Retreat, please contact Katrin:
